We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Sales Team in New York City. The iHeartMedia Account Executive works with local and national clients selling iHeartMedia's diverse offerings including broadcast & digital advertising, and live event sponsorships. We are looking for a passionate, motivated, goal-oriented individual with a proven track record of over-achieving sales goals and targets. To succeed in this role, you will need to have relevant digital or advertising sales experience and a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals.


You Like:

  • Identifying and soliciting new business; building and maintaining a full pipeline of sales prospects
  • Servicing and growing relationships in existing base of clients
  • Identifying client/agency needs and developing persuasive proposals to meet the needs and opportunities
  • Delivering effective sales presentations (broadcast, digital, events); negotiation and closing
  • Steering clients based on market, platform and station information
  • Maintaining client communication and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Staying on top of the competitive landscape to best position iHeartMedia in the marketplace 
  • Working collaboratively with internal partners to drive revenue
  • Following all station procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts and competitive analysis
  • Thinking creatively to build effective marketing campaigns in cooperation with iHeartMedia resources
  • Generating revenue and exceeding established sales targets

You Have:

  • 2+ years in media/advertising sales is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social networking platforms, and CRM tools
  • Experience developing new business relationships in a sales role
  • Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with negotiation and closing of new deals
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent presenter to clients of sales opportunities and post-sale successes
  • Independent; self-motivated; competitive; assertive
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of market dynamics including demographics
  • Stress tolerance especially with tight deadlines and financial pressures
  • Flexibility and creativity
  • SalesForce experience is a plus
  • Your own vehicle with a valid driver’s license and state-mandated auto insurance
