We are on the search for an Engineering Intern to join our Data Engineering team for a 8 week paid internship. At iHeartRadio, the Data Engineering team develops critical data products, including real time business metrics and analytics capabilities that impact how people listen to the radio and podcasts. The team builds data pipelines for listening behavior events for over 120+ million users across hundreds of devices and platforms, music metadata on over 40 million tracks, and data processing for 850+ broadcast stations.
During your internship, you’ll be directly embedded with our engineering teams, working on projects critical to the success of our platform and products, and impacting the listening for millions of users. You will have exposure to the broader organization as a whole, in addition to the opportunity to learn from talented managers and mentors, who want to partner in your learning, as well as discuss careers in engineering at iHeartRadio.
The ideal candidate for this internship is curious, self-motivated, eager to make an impact in a relatively short amount of time, and excited about music and media! You will also work on your own exciting, independent, real-world project that will have a direct impact on users’ music experience. The culmination of this work you’ll be able to present to the entire technology team in our TriBeCa office.
- Or are currently pursuing a BA, BS, MA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative analytical field graduating between December 2018-August 2019
- Experience programming with Python, Scala or similar programming language
- A passion for understanding real world problems through data analysis and presentation
- A highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Collaborating with different teams
- Working on your own exciting, independent real-world, project that will have a direct impact on user music experience
This is an 8-10 week paid internship opportunity. Program begins early June, ending by early/mid-August.
